My Valentine to You

This is a love letter to all of you who came into my life and let me be your guide in finding a home in Santa Fe and building a new life; or in selling and starting another chapter somewhere else. Every home is special. Every client is unique. I learn something new with each sale. It’s inspiring! I'd like to share a few of their stories with you.

I was so delighted to help my young farmer friends Kevin and Emily find a sweet little adobe in Northern New Mexico. I thought of calling this newsletter Beans, Chili and Love; as this is what they are growing. Then I started thinking about many of the wonderful homes and clients we have served.

Casa de Amor came to mind next. David and Gay purchased a beautiful Northern New Mexico home in Tesuque. They had the most glorious wedding there this fall. They restored the house with hard work and love, bringing her back to life. Within the embrace of Casa Amor we feasted, danced, and celebrated.

Then Vencka, with a heart for wounded creatures, who rescues cats. Animals no one wanted, she saved. She and Louis needed a home that could be a sanctuary for Louis’ wood turning, for the cats and for them. After looking at many homes, one day Vencka said “This is it.” And now everyone is purring.

Jean Ann and Ralph spent years dreaming about a home in Santa Fe. I visited them in Mexico, and they stayed in my home as the dream became a reality. As new Santa Feans, they’ve included me in dinners and musical outings. The adventure and friendship continue.

Lura is a landscape architect with an enchanting casita on the Eastside. She wanted to sell to someone who would love the wood and mud floors, the sunlight on the soft walls, the fragrant roses, grasses, and charm. I was thrilled when our client Michelle fell in love with this home.

There’s also a world-famous yoga teacher, an adult son and his parents who both purchased in Cochiti . . . and so many more stories. You all touch our hearts and lives as so much more than a real estate transaction.
